For Patients & Families
How does MedpeR® know if I've taken my medicine?
MedpeR® detects when a compartment is opened at the scheduled dose time and timestamps the event. It confirms the compartment was accessed — it does not verify what was inside it or that the medication was actually swallowed. We recommend keeping only the prescribed dose in each compartment, and consulting your physician on how to interpret the adherence record.
What happens if a dose is missed?
If a compartment isn't opened within the alert window after the scheduled time, MedpeR® classifies the dose as missed and notifies every linked caregiver. If it remains missed beyond a configurable threshold, an escalation alert follows.
Who gets notified, and how fast?
Every caregiver linked to the device — family members, a home nurse, or ward staff — is notified as soon as a dose is marked missed. There's no delay for manual checking or rounds.
Can more than one family member receive alerts?
Yes. Multiple caregivers can be linked to a single device, so responsibility doesn't rest on one person being available at all times.
Is my data private and secure?
Yes. We don't collect medical records through the website, and dose data from the device and app is used only to power your dashboard and caregiver notifications. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
Does MedpeR® need to be connected to the internet at all times?
MedpeR® syncs dose events to the cloud so caregivers can see them remotely. We recommend keeping the device connected for the most accurate, real-time updates. For connectivity requirements specific to your home setup, contact us at support@inovocare.in.
How many medications can MedpeR® manage?
The device supports up to 9 compartments, 8 of which can be mapped to a specific medication and dose schedule — enough for most multi-drug chronic regimens.
How long does setup take?
Most families are set up in under 15 minutes, with no technical knowledge required. Dose times and compartments are configured through the companion app.
Is it suitable for someone with limited dexterity or hearing difficulty?
Yes — this was a core design consideration. Compartments are sized for easy opening, and the audible alert is designed to be clearly noticeable for patients with mild hearing loss.
What's the warranty, and what if it breaks?
MedpeR® carries a 1-year manufacturer's warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. See our Terms & Conditions for the full replacement and returns process.
How do I order, and what's included?
Orders are placed via WhatsApp for a personal, guided experience. Every order includes the device, USB charging cable, quick-start guide, 1-year warranty, and setup assistance.
For Institutions & Care Teams
How does deployment work for a facility with many patients?
Devices are provisioned and configured as part of a bulk deployment, with each device linked to a patient record and ward staff assigned as caregivers. The facility dashboard gives administrators a single view across every enrolled patient from day one.
Is patient data secure and compliant with Indian data protection law?
Yes. Our data practices are aligned with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 — including the right of any individual whose data we process to access, correct, or request erasure of it. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
What happens if a device goes offline?
The facility dashboard flags any device that hasn't synced within its expected window, so ward staff can follow up directly. For details on offline behaviour and sync timing for your deployment, speak with our institutional team.
Is MedpeR® a certified or regulated medical device?
Yes. MedpeR® is listed with the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) as a Class A NSNM medical device.
Can we run a pilot before committing to a full rollout?
Deployment scope — including any phased or pilot rollout — is discussed and agreed during your evaluation. Raise this directly with our institutional team when you enquire.
What does institutional pricing look like?
Institutional pricing depends on patient volume and deployment scope, and is agreed during your evaluation. Submit an institutional enquiry and our team will respond within 48 working hours with a proposal.
How long does staff training take?
Bulk device deployment includes on-site configuration support for ward staff. Your institutional team will confirm a training timeline as part of your deployment plan.
Can MedpeR® integrate with our existing hospital systems (EHR)?
Bring your specific integration requirements to our institutional team during your evaluation, and we'll let you know what's possible for your systems.
About the Test
What is NIBRA-CS®?
NIBRA-CS® is a comprehensive autonomic function testing platform that digitizes Ewing's Battery of Cardiac Autonomic Function Tests with standardised workflows, automated calculations, and integrated heart rate variability (HRV) analysis — built for hospitals, diagnostic centres, and neurology departments.
Is the test invasive or painful?
No. NIBRA-CS® is non-invasive — it combines ECG and non-invasive blood pressure monitoring with guided cardiovascular reflex manoeuvres. There are no needles and no invasive instrumentation involved.
How long does a NIBRA-CS® assessment take?
The Full Test Battery — six standardised autonomic reflex tests plus a 5-minute HRV recording, run in one fixed sequence — takes 19 minutes + prep time and produces a 6-page report with a full Cardiac Autonomic Neuropathy (CAN) diagnosis. A Short Test — a single passive 5-minute HRV recording with no active manoeuvres — is available for rapid screening, follow-up visits, or patients who cannot safely perform the Full Test Battery, producing a 3-page HRV-only report.
Can a Short Test be followed by a Full Test later?
Yes. A Short Test can always be followed by a Full Test Battery at a later visit if the HRV screen indicates further assessment is warranted.
Who operates the device — do we need a specialist?
No specialist operator is required. A trained technician can conduct the full test battery through the guided touchscreen workflow and generate a clinician-ready report without additional specialist involvement.
What does the report include?
Full Test reports include a Normal / Early / Definite / Severe CAN classification combined with HRV status into a Final Interpretation, plus time-domain (SDNN, RMSSD) and frequency-domain (LF/HF ratio, spectral power) HRV parameters — formatted for direct inclusion in patient records, with no manual data entry or third-party software required.
Regulatory & Institutional
Is NIBRA-CS® a regulatory-approved device?
Yes. NIBRA-CS® holds a valid CDSCO Class B (MD5) manufacturing licence from the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation, Government of India — mandatory regulatory clearance for medical devices sold and deployed in India, and procurement-ready for hospital and government tenders.
Where has NIBRA-CS® been clinically validated?
NIBRA-CS® has been deployed and evaluated in paid clinical pilots at 5+ nationally recognised medical colleges and teaching hospitals — including AIIMS Kalyani, MMCH Midnapore, RIMS Ranchi, JIMS Budge Budge, and IIMC Sonarpur — with 800+ patients evaluated and Institutional Ethics Committee approvals secured across every site. See the Research & Publications page for details.
Is NIBRA-CS® deployed commercially, or only in trials?
Both. Alongside its clinical validation pilots, the first commercial unit is deployed at RIMS Ranchi, with PHC-level screening integration currently underway — marking the transition from clinical validation to active institutional deployment.
Is Inovocare backed by any incubation or grant programme?
Yes. NIBRA-CS® development has been supported by a BIRAC/DBT innovation grant from the Department of Biotechnology, and Inovocare is incubated at the IIM Calcutta Innovation Park. NIBRA-CS® is also patent-protected. Certificates are available on the Research & Publications page.
Can our hospital procure NIBRA-CS® for a tender or bulk deployment?
Yes. NIBRA-CS® is CDSCO-licensed and procurement-ready for hospital and government tenders. Submit an institutional enquiry and our team will follow up on deployment scope, pricing, and timelines.
